Car-jacked and Murdered!
West Memphis, Arkansas,
Thursday April 10, 2003, the elder sister of Narvel Felt's wife Loretta, Althia Mae
Plummer Wheeler, 67, of West Memphis was found in the trunk of her severely burned, green
'95 Nissan Maxima around 2:30 a.m. Surveillance cameras at the West Memphis Wal-Mart where
she worked, when reviewed by police, showed her being forced into her car in the parking
lot as she was leaving work around 10:15 p.m. the 9th. Her body was taken to the state lab
in Little Rock for positive identification. Autopsy reports say she died from two stab
wounds in her chest. Corey Mosley, 22 of West Memphis, a male who she did not know, was
identified from the surveillance tapes as her abductor. He had just been released from
prison after serving a 15 year sentence for car-jacking. That victim managed to escape
after he beat her up. He has been arrested and charged with the capital murder of Althia
Wheeler. He is being held, his bail set at $3million.
