Stargazer Entertainment Announces Mark Newland’s latest release, "Lonely
Makes It Easy"
It’s been a few years since Mark first debuted The Country Lives in Me, and now,
after touring the country and playing his heart out, he’s made it back into the
studio to record his newest release, Lonely Makes it Easy. It’s a heartfelt
collection packed with energy and raw talent. Since 2001, Mark has been focused on
co-producing the album with Dennis Caplinger, and writing two of the featured songs. Quite
busy, he still has found the time to select songs by Mel Besher, Harly Alan, and Larry
Johnson. Choosing each song for its own merit, Mark is
quick to acknowledge the impressive resumes of these artists who have written hit songs
for performers like Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Alabama. Mark’s co-producer Dennis
Caplinger says, "I always enjoy working on Mark’s projects – this new
recording features clever tunes, great production, and Mark’s dynamic vocals.
Some of the talent on this CD is quite impressive. Mark brought in multi-platinum
recording artist Wayne Nelson of The Little River Band to produce the main vocals and to
sing back-up on several songs. So while Mark received noteworthy attention and many awards
for his vocals on his first release, you can expect

In addition to Mark announcing the release of his new CD in Country Music Today, his
single, Lonely Makes It Easy is featured on the CMT Summer Sampler. “I am honored to
have my title song, Lonely Makes It Easy featured on Country Music Today’s Summer
Sampler CD,” said Mark. The Magazine accepted submissions for their Sampler CD and
Mark’s song was selected to be featured with notable artists such as Johnny Cash, and
the group Emerson Drive.

About Mark Newland: Mark followed in his grandfather’s path as a musician and
performer. By 17 he had expanded from guitar to piano, drums and bass and to writing his
own songs. His origins are rock, but as he puts it, rock has attitude, country has
personality. “The Country Lives In Me,” Mark’s first release, had plenty of
both, earning Song of the Year and Male Vocalist of The Year by the California Country
Music Association for “Girl I’ve Had It”. Mark also won the Most Promising
