The While ViolinWords & Music By:
Kelly Kron
Pub: 1998 Count Music BMI
It's not too often I record a song I didn't write, but this is one I can
honestly say I wish I would have. Kelly Kron crafted this song beautifully, and when I
heard it, it hit me right between the eyes, thank you Kelly for letting me hear this song,
it will be big someday.
1. There was a White Violin, in the window of the store
And the stuff that dreams are made of, made him want it more
He went home and told his Mamma, all about his dream
And how it sparked an ember, this Violin he'd seen
2. For months he saved his money, then he rushed back to the store They said
someone had bought it, just the day before He went home and told his Mamma, she knew how
hard he'd tried Then she rocked him like a baby, in his bedroom while he cried
She said, all things come in time, for every time a place
Do you know how much I love you son, then she kissed his face
She said, you've got something better, a fire that burns within
And you'll find that it shines brighter, than that White Violin
3. There was a White Violin, in the window of the store
And the stuff that dreams are made of, made him want it more
And the Christmas lights came early, but they didn't shine so bright In the window of the
music store, they didn't look quite right
4. There was a big shiny box, when Christmas morning came
He knew it was a Violin, but it wouldn't be the same
But the instrument kept calling, from it's case of Reptile Skin
Tears filled his eyes, when he looked inside, it was that White Violin
She said, all things come in time, for every time a place
Do you know how much I love you son, then she kissed his face
She said, you've got something better, a fire that burns within
And you'll find that it shines brighter, than that White Violin
