Hi
Marli,
I meant to get back to you sooner, can't believe it has already been a week and a half
since we saw Narvel at West Point! It was great to see him and he was kind enough to stop
by our room and hang out with Bob and I and our friends for a short while. He is a
wonderful person!
I
wanted to tell you, though, that I had read that interview you did a long time ago (Marli Meets Narvel)... and I cried when I read it the first time and
at least a couple of times when I re-read it. Watching Narvel perform, as great as he is,
we could still see the pain when he dedicated a song to Bub. Even so, it is good to see
that Narvel looks just a bit less frail these days and the pain seems to be a little less
'raw.' We even think that Narvel may have gained 10 or 15 lbs. since last year and it
really looks good on him.
We
have a tape of that first show (someone there at Music Ranch taped it and made a copy for
us) and we watched it again after we came back, comparing then and now. Bob taped Narvel's
show this time and the quality is much better. I've already ordered a few prints of
snapshots I captured from the tape. I'll attach one here and also send a link to the batch
at Photoworks. I like to let Photoworks send a link because they usually offer you a free
print and you can still just download the photo from the web.
We're
hoping to hear that Narvel is booked for a Michigan show again soon. He told us that he
had been talking with Tommy of KT Entertainment but nothing was firmed up... so I made
sure to call Tommy after we got home, to urge him to get it together. He said he would be
calling Narvel in a day or two, that he was just waiting for a confirmation on the venue.
We have our fingers crossed on that.
Hugs,
Tricia Henning
