Mother America's Parade of Heroes by artist, Brian DeFoe

Brian DeFoe's "Mother America's Parade of Heroes"

This work of art was created by Brian DeFoe of Dallas, TX as a memorial and testament to America and the heroism of all Americans; the victims and their families, firefighters, police, armed forces, government officials and many more. While the list of tragedy and heroic deeds in the plight of our nation's war against terrorism grows daily, Brian has not forgotten about the war we have been fighting daily on our homeland;
the war to keep our children safe.

Mother America's Parade of Heroes
Through them our unity, courage, vision and spirit lives on

"As an artist this piece speaks to me in many ways through its symbolic imagery."

The flag drapes"Mother America" to shield her from harm.
The white stripe signifies our standing unity
The four shining stars signify the four planes
The clouds on a sunny day signifies a storm brewing on the horizon
The black and red of the eyes signify the darkness within ourselves and the restrained, tempered anger, guided by the divine hand of the all-seeing eye on the pyramids capstone
The Sun shining upon the face signifies the warmth of enlightenment, understanding and a promise of peace in the future
The pyramid capstone, not yet set in place signifies that we have much more work yet to do
The fireworks signify that the American spirit lives on and is strong!
