Sponsored by HostLand

Hi All,

I've managed to get part of the news done and rather than make you wait a day or so longer to get all of the news, I decided to post this one today and will "hopefully" be able to finish the rest tomorrow or this weekend at the latest (that's "hopefully").. LOL.. with me, you're just never quite sure, are ya! Enjoy!

MKOC Review of John Berry Posted on Berry's Site!

I don't think this has ever happened before so it's very flattering and I feel quite honored. Some of John Berry's fans saw the review I did of his latest CD, "Hits". I received emails from a few of them thanking me for the review and a day or so later, I got another email from one, Debbie, stating the following:

"Hi Marli,

You probably already know this. Your review is on John's site now!! It first appeared as a link in a post from a fan. That's how I found it. Now, for those who don't subscribe to the forum can read it. Thanks again so much for the great review! Take care.

Best wishes,

We Have not been online, have been in Branson and watching Talya while the kids get the new show off and perfect. It is terrific and getting a lot of very nice comments as usual. How they do all that work is beyond me but believe me, they keep busy.
Photo below Bob Wehr (owner Of The White House Theatre .. And Talya Nicole ...

This is the actual 1st week that Talya was singing all alone, singing her little heart out and does the audience love her! A real little ham and believe me, she is now hooked on show biz. There IS a big bill board in Lobby and it actually has her listed as Now Introducing Talya Tinoco. Can you believe that ,, Joe has been there almost 7 years and they never use the name (ONLY PHOTOS) and Talya performs three days and on the list, the whole cast is listed now and of course Joe and Tamra have a special part in list now STAR PERFORMERS/PRODUCERS . ... :)

Learning by watching, she now is in love with the ballet dancers and can follow every step they take as she performs off stage on the front row while show goes on ... Drawing tons of attention & Loving it! ..

We have been trying to make a little clip of just her .. So you all can get a hint about what she is doing. A beautiful yellow Shirley Temple like dress and she has long long hair and a Princess Crown, and she struts out on that stage like she has been performing all her life. She grabs the mic and starts her performance singing and doing her little moves .. To the hit song if the forties "You Are My Sunshine". You sure do not want to miss it!

The show is as every bit as good as it ever was plus, has a real lot of new surprises in store. More costume changes, more musical Instruments and lots of different kind of dancing plus .. Joe and Tamra are now getting the reputation as two of Branson's Top Show producers. They Both look forward to seeing you this Holiday Season, soon to be upon us.

Stay tuned to your satellite TV Christians Stations. Starting Sept 29th. Most Christian Stations will be bringing the Magnificent Gospel show into your living rooms. Tamra will have a New Christian Gospel CD which will be available through TV stations she airs on. We can't wait to hear it. :)

Rehearsals start Mid October for the New spectacular Christmas show which usually airs all over the Fox TV stations in and around Springfield and Branson.Birthday.GIF (46997 bytes)

Joe's Birthday coming October 3rd! I know it would thrill him to get a surprised E-mail from you on his Birthday!!! Mail cards to joetam1@aol.com

Thanks tons for all the support and kindness you have shown and given through the year. God Bless and anything you need .. Just write, we are here.

Narvel's news about his gigs in August has been posted on the site along with 2 photos of him with Grand Ole Opry star, Connie Smith who shared the stage with Narvel in one of those shows. Check it out at News From Narvel.

Narvel also reports, "I'll be singing on a show for the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH November 11th honoring Jerry Lee Lewis. Kris Kristoferson will host." That date is also Narvel's birthday!

The details about this show will be posted as soon as I get all the details. Sad part for me... before I moved, I lived only 30 miles from Cleveland and could have been there to share another birthday with Narvel, see a great show and hey... meet Kris Kristoferson! Ugh! I miss being home more than ever!

Lee Greenwood's "Inspirational Songs" Album

If inspiration is what you are trying to find, then Lee Greenwood’s re-release of Inspirational Songs is where you will find it. This album contains eleven re-recorded songs that will lift even the heaviest of sprits. They range from Lee’s heart-felt rendition of “Amazing Grace” to the soulful up-beat tune “Bound for the Promise Land.” However, if this is enough, what Lee album is complete without the timeless classic “God Bless the USA,” which is the feature of this compilation.

“I think my choice of material has been an asset to my career. People recognize that I choose songs that have quality and are not cheap shots,” says Greenwood. “I always record songs that have more depth in the lyric. I am a songwriter and I go for depth. Maybe that’s what has made me have a lasting career.”

Years of performing have taught Lee how to connect with his fans. His selective taste of songs, combined with his distinctive voice, makes this re-release a must have for any musical connoisseur.

CollinRaye.JPG (7574 bytes)(Nashville, TN) – The new Collin Raye "SELECTED HITS" album is unique in that it contains six great songs and is available exclusively at Wal-Mart stores for under $6. In addition to two new songs ("A Soldier's Prayer" and the equally powerful "Quitters") the album contains four of Collin's biggest hits ("That's My Story," "Little Rock," "I Think About You" and "Love Me" ) all recorded "live" with the Salt Lake Symphony Orchestra in front of an audience of 8000 who sang along. It is first time that live recordings of these have been available and there is a six-minute interview with Collin as a bonus feature.

Produced by Alabama's Teddy Gentry and Michael Curtis, Raye believes this new CD is the wave of the future. "People can purchase this CD for less than they can download these songs and they get to hear me talk about the songs, their origins and special qualities as well," says Collin.

All American Bluegrass Ambassador - Rhonda Vincent

For Immediate Release - GSTAAD, SWITZERLAND - Rhonda Vincent & The Rage introduced what Ragin' LIVE is all about; before an International audience, during the 19th Annual Country Nights Festival in Gstaad, Switzerland on September 21 & 22, 2007.

Two SOLD OUT evenings of enthusiastic International country music fans, traveled thousands of miles from many countries; including France, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Spain, Canada, Switzerland, and many others to join in the village wide festival.

For some it was their first exposure to bluegrass, and an impression they won't soon forget. Rhonda and her group received standing ovations and encore performances on both nights. The crowd jumped to their feet in the middle of their first show, as Hunter Berry, (a 5-time Fiddle Player of the Year at the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America) performed the title song from his new solo project "Wow Baby," and continued to pound their feet causing a great roar, as the crowd insisted on more of the song, of which Rhonda and her group obliged. This was repeated on the second night when Kenny Ingram played the "Foggy Mountain Breakdown".

"Tonight is a great night for bluegrass in Switzerland," stated Rosi Miller of the Swiss Bluegrass Music Association. "This is a landmark occasion for bluegrass music in Europe!" The organization was there with brochures and information about bluegrass music. www.bluegrass.ch/

On their final encore performance, festival promoter Marcel Bach joined them onstage, and insisted they play "Wow Baby" once again for their final song. And the crowd went wild!

Rhonda and every member of her group, (Hunter Berry, Mickey Harris, Kenny Ingram, and Josh Williams), received a thunderous reception, and was quickly deemed the "hit of the festival" by the crowd of fans surrounding Rhonda as she greeted each one for signatures and photos after the show.

Also appearing at the festival were Riders In The Sky, Julie Roberts, and Randy Travis. The entire entourage was treated to four days of Swiss culture. Riding a roller coaster amidst a snow topped Glacier, viewing the Matterhorn, and listening to the songs of the cows, as they paraded through town decorated with flowers and bells of all sizes, shapes, and sounds.

Check out Rhonda's daily messages and photos from Gstaad, on her message board at www.rhondavincent.com

Rhonda Vincent & The Rage will also perform at the International Bluegrass Music Awards on October 4, 2007 in Nashville, TN at the Grand Ole Opry House. Rhonda Vincent & The Rage collectively received 12 nominations.

"We would love to take them all home," Rhonda states, "Regardless of the outcome, it is an honor to receive these nominations, and join with our friends in bluegrass for a night that honors everyone for their hard work, performing at bluegrass festivals and venues like Gstaad, all across the world!"

Trisha Yearwood

They have songs, storytelling, spontaneity and humor when the quartet of singer-songwriters take the stage for All For the Hall New York, a traditional Nashville guitar pull (with a twist) scheduled for the Nokia Theatre Times Square on October 10, 2007. The gala event, which includes a live auction, will benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. more!

Trisha Yearwood is watching her first up-tempo solo single in nine years quickly climb the charts, and for the two-time CMA Female Vocalist Of The Year, finding quality up-tempo songs is always a challenge: “I think it is harder for me to find up-tempo songs,” notes Trisha. “’Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love’ works, I think, because it still touches that nerve in people that makes them relate to the lyric, like a great ballad does, but it makes you want to dance along at the same time. I just think the song is fun.” The ‘fun’ song’s video jumps into the Top 10 on the CMT Top 20 Countdown next week.  more!

You have the power to make "Heaven, Heartache, and The Power or Love" NUMBER 1 for Trisha! You have already helped make this single one of her fastest rising songs ever! Remember to call your favorite local country station and request "Heaven, Heartache, and The Power of Love"!

CD-Ghosts.jpg (11461 bytes)This is the cover of our next 29 song CD album
on Velvet Saw Records.

Right now we have too many songs,
and we're trying to decide which ones to cut.
Some of them have never been on a CD or an album of any kind...
never heard outside of friends and family.

Title came from the fact that
these are ghost voices from our distant past...
recordings we made together and separately,
under "Jack Blanchard & Misty Morgan",
and also a number of aliases.

We were just learning who we were supposed to be.
And there are a few that we cut later that somehow
slipped between the black and white keys and were lost.

It should be ready to go in a few weeks.
Forgive us if we're kinda excited. :)

XM Clears The Air..."Willie's Place" Not Changing - Just Getting Better...!!!

Wednesday - 26 September 2007
headline:     Response From XM Radio To Opinion Article By Tracy Pitcox
Short text:     Ray Knight - Senior Director of Country Programming / XM Satellite Radio
Text:     Believe me; we are NOT dropping the Texas artists or the "oldies". Between Willie’s 13 and America 10 we will always support the Texas music scene, or any scene for that matter that keeps the traditional sound of country alive. That is after all, our future. While there is Texas artists still played every hour we are putting even more into the mix as we move forward. However, please keep in mind this is our “traditional” country format, and is not meant to be only “Texas” based artists. They will always be spread out amongst: America, Willie’s, and even XCountry.

Between the three channels Texas is and will continue to be “super served”. You will find no one more committed to the “lesser know” artists than myself. I have been supporting them for 25 years, and will continue. If anything, you will notice more Texas artists as we move forward into October and not less.

All we are doing is adding in some more of the traditional artists from the past which can NOT be heard in 99 percent of the country. How can we forget the legends of the past?

Thank you for taking the time to write in, and feel free to call me at your convenience if you’d like to discuss further. Please pass along to anyone you would like.
