Hi All, Welp, I made it.. maybe a day late and certainly a dollar short, but I've finally gotten the news completed for y'all. It's difficult becuase the past 2 days has been beautiful blue skies and 75 degrees! If I weren't so terrified of snakes, I'd be outside rollin' around in the grass! I took yesterday off to enjoy the outdoors working on the flower beds, etc. Today, I buckled down to work and believe me.. it's been hard to stay in this chair! Nuff said! Enjoy! Google Ads Led To PC Infections Paid search ads appearing in Google's search result pages held a trap for people who clicked on them when searching for certain keywords. The Better Business Bureau and cars.com were being exploited in Google searches by criminals seeking to drop malicious software onto a victim's computer. That discovery came from Exploit Prevention Labs, whose Roger Thompson blogged about it. Their researchers began to notice exploits detected with the company's LinkScanner on ads related to the BBB and cars.com. People clicking on the unsafe ads were passed through a malicious domain on their way to the legitimate destination: It sure looks like (the paid search ad) will take you to a BBB website, and that's where you end up. First, however, it takes the unwary traveler through smarttrack.org, which uses a modified MDAC exploit to try to install a backdoor and a post-logger on your system. The post-logger is specifically targeting about 100 banks from around the world, by injecting extra html into those banks response pages, to try to coax extra information out of the victim. Irving Waugh (wah) of Nashville, a veteran broadcast industry executive who helped spearhead the rise of country music, died today. He was 94. Waugh, who had an extended illness, had been a long-time executive with W-S-M Incorporated, which broadcast the Grand Ole Opry radio show on W-S-M radio. As a member of the Country Music Association board, Waugh helped arrange for the annual C-M-A awards show to get a national television spot in 1968. He also helped develop Fan Fair, now known as the C-M-A Music Festival, in 1972. Additionally, Waugh helped plan the Opryland U-S-A theme park, which opened in 1972. It closed in 1997. After retiring as president of W-S-M Incorporated in 1977, Waugh was state tourism commissioner for two years. Survivors include two sons. Funeral arrangements are pending. Doc Wooten Asked Back For Third Appearance Los Angeles, CA, April 23, 2007 - Doc Wooten has been asked back for his third appearance to Dyess, Arkansas. The hometown of Johnny Cash, Dyess is well on it's way to developing a museum in the late singer's honor. In last year's three day event, approximately twenty thousand dollars was raised toward this project. Tommy Cash headlined Fridays events, Buddy Jewel headlined Saturdays events and Doc Wooten headlined Sundays events. Twenty six bands made appearances in honor of the Man in Black. This years event will take place in early July and is expected to have the largest turnout to date. From traditional country, to contemporary, it will be an enjoyable variety of music. "I am not a Johnny Cash impersonator" says Doc. "No one can do it like he did. We have our own unique sound and people love it; and I'm thankful for that". The Mayor of Dyess has set a goal to purchase an already standing building to begin the museum. Donated items from various sources will fill the museum.
