A line in the current Top 15 Gary Allan single, "A Feelin' Like That" references
skydiving, which Gary has actually done - but just once. He says, "Skydiving is
something that somebody took me to do for my birthday for a few years back. I did a tandem
jump where someone is strapped to your back. That was pretty cool. It was 40 seconds of
rush and I don't think I ever need to do that again!"

Cheryl K Warner
Cheryl K Warner will be
releasing Dreams, the first single off of her upcoming cd, on April 1!
Dreams will be released on WHP #76 and CDX #420.
Dreams, a very romantic song that makes you feel a personal longing of the
heart, was written by Matt Dorman in 2002. Ironically, the idea for Dreams
came to Dorman in a dream. The song wrote itself when I woke up, says Dorman.
What gets me is every time I hear it, I get a haunting feeling that it means
something more than I can grasp.
I could not get Dreams out of mind after hearing it, says Cheryl
K. There was something about it that lingered and made me want to sing it
I
believe that "Dreams" is both mystical and captivating, lyrically as well as
musically.
Combining the honesty of her country roots with the heart of gospel and the energy of
rock, Cheryl K.s voice provides a mirror in which her listeners see reflections of
their lives and of their dreams.
The Fantasy CD, which includes Dreams, is scheduled for release in Fall of
2007.
For more information, please contact Laura at Laura@WildfirePublicity.net
or 615-825-0019. Photos, Dreams MP3/cd, and interviews available to the media
by request. MP3s are also available to radio on our download page or through Airplay

From The Editor's Desk:
NMW SEARCHES CRS FOR FUTURE HITS
Los Angeles, CA - It is always a treat to head out of Los Angeles to Nashville for the CRS
(Country Radio Seminar). It gives us a chance to hook up with old friends and to make lots
of new ones. The major labels were in "full force" and plenty of independent
labels, recording artists and bands as well. Many of our promotion folks were well
attended from our local neighbors Alan Young and Debbie Gibson Palmer to others that were
centrally located from Debbie Green, James Williams, Bill Wence, Chris Taylor and the
always lovable Jerry Duncan among others. Without this illustrious gang, there would be no
New Music Weekly and we thank them for their support.
Country recording artists were also in abundance from the likes of Darryl Worley, Jeff
Carson, Pam Tillas to Little Texas, Lantana, Burrito Deluxe to name just a few. The media
room at CRS was buzzing with lots of activity directed by Jeff Walker assisted by product
manager Christy Walker. Major and independent label artists were all prepped and ready to
talk about their releases, and we were there to cover their stories and hear their
pitches. Unlike any other format, Country artists seem to come very well prepared and they
seem to always do their homework. This makes it quite a breeze for us.
Radio stations still managed to get many of their music and program directors out and
about. We ran into New Music Weekly reporter Mike Betten and his wife Janet in the media
room. Mike does programming for both Country KLMJ and mainstream radio KQCR in Hampton, IA
and that underscored the fact that many programmers in attendance deal with multi-formats.
Also caught up with NMW winner Lee Richey WJTW (Warsaw, NY) NMW nominee Mike Thomas from
KFAV (Warrenton, MO) and Lex Broadcastings Steve and Betty Martin to name just a
few.
Our chief correspondent Buck McCoy was in top form having arrived early in the week and
even got the chance to perform some magic tricks in the infamous bridge bar at the end of
each evening. Capitol put on a great luncheon headlined by Trace Adkins and the New Faces
show was the big closer of the week. For this main event there were some surprises. Kix
Brooks from Brooks and Dunn hosted the evening and had some great stories to tell. Charley
Monk was as funny as ever and hit hard with some strong and stinging jokes. Recording
artists were in no short supply during the evening and ranged from Eric Church, Miranda
Lambert, Jack Ingram to Trent Tomlinson and Rodney Atkins. One of our favorite moments was
when Bill Dana showed up on stage and did a funny bit with Kix Brooks. He had us rolling
in the isles & it was truly a great CRS moment.
The "after-hours" found Jewel sitting in with Big & Rich and it doesnt
get any better than that. Parties continued all night long and the Bridge Bar held court
to more Country artists and record people than it could accommodate. Seems that their new
"no smoking" policy had little effect on the turn out up there. For most of us
it was another grand affair that allowed us to cover a lot of valuable ground in a rather
short period of time and partaking in some much needed refreshments when the time was
right. That time was right just about the entire time, and now we are paying the price.
This is also our Future Hits volume #29 issue. In this weeks magazine you will find our
music sampler with some of the best new artists and releases out there. Make sure to take
some time and check out this great collection of music. Many of the artists on independent
labels deserve not only our attention but strong and honest support. This is your
opportunity as radio programmers for to take the lead and help to break some new and
exciting artists. Future Hits continues to provide a great service of getting new artists
and their releases out to radio and at a fraction of what it would cost to do it
themselves. The mailing alone is worth it and the sampler is going to those who can really
make things happen for new artists. Hey, were talking about you!Contact Info:
