Reporting Radio Stations Kick Off The New
Year With Web 2.0 Technology
Los Angeles, CA STS (Spins Tracking System), the leading system
used worldwide by radio station to report their broadcast music, is incorporating Web 2.0
technology AJAX to enhance the user experience and to open STS to more web browsers on a
massive level of platforms. This technology upgrade makes the STS system THE premier

Google is making a huge investment in developing the Ajax approach. All of the major
products Google has introduced over the last year Orkut, Gmail, the latest beta
version of Google Groups, Google Suggest, and Google Maps are Ajax applications.
STS (Spins Tracking System) used by radio stations worldwide is yet another leading
service to encompass the power of Ajax and Web 2.0 building technologies. We expect to see
many more organizations following Googles and STS's lead in reaping the competitive
advantage Ajax provides.
Spins Tracking System has revolutionized the way radio and record executives look at
charts. A technology used to deliver the most highly accurate chart information available.
STS is the industry leading weekly provider of information that covers music played at
commercial and non-commercial radio. STS delivers a wide variety of airplay charts that

ABOUT WEB 2.0:
Ajax isnt a technology. It is several technologies, each flourishing in its own
right. An Ajax application eliminates the start-stop-start-stop nature of interaction on
the Web by introducing an intermediary an Ajax engine between the user and
the server. Instead of loading a webpage, at the start of the session, the browser loads
an Ajax engine written in JavaScript. This engine is responsible for both rendering
the interface the user sees and communicating with the server on the users behalf.
The Ajax engine allows the users interaction with the application to happen
asynchronously independent of communication with the server.
Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript + XML) technology: Take a look at Google Suggest. Watch the
way the suggested terms update as you type, almost instantly. Now look at Google Maps.
Zoom in. Use your cursor to grab the map and scroll around a bit. Again, everything
happens almost instantly, with no waiting for pages to reload. Google Suggest and Google
Maps are two examples of a new approach to web applications.
ABOUT NMW:

Quarterback, Music Connection, Inside Connection and most recently Soap Digest has found
