Narvel
Felts
There are 2 new News Items from Narvel posted
on his web site News From
Narvel
I've added an "update" box where fans can post their email address to be
notified immediately when the page has been updated so if you want to stay up-to-date with
all of Narvel's latest news items, sign up and get notified each time something new is
added to the page. I thought this would benefit the fans as well as Narvel since I'm not
always able to get newsletters out on a regular schedule.
Essie Shell reports:
I got a letter from Narvel today, and for those of you who have DirectTV, he is supposed
to be on the RFD Channel 379 tomorrow night, April 29th, May 27th and June 17th.
Believe the time is 8:00 central and the show is called Midwest Country. These will be
shows that were taped earlier, rather than recent shows, but those of you who know Narvel
know he is still as good today as he has ever been. Hope you can watch them.

Chris Young Wins the 2006 Nashville Star Talent Contest

CONGRATULATIONS, CHRIS!!!!!!I'm
sure you've all heard by now that Chris Young was the winner of this year's Nashville
Star.. never the less, I'm very happy to report it as Chris was my choice artist from the
very first show. Below is a press release from Christian Lamitschka of Germany's
"Country Home" web site. You can also find out more about Chris at the USA
Network Nashville Star website where you can view videos and much more. There is a
chrisyoung.com website posted but so far all that's on it is one line.. "Email
Me". I'm waiting to make sure it's actually Chris's site and not some jerk who bought
the name to use for the wrong reasons. Hey! When you've been at this as long as I have,
you're trust takes a back seat to the lessons you've learned the hard way! ;)
Anywhoooo.. I can't wait to hear the album that will be
forthcoming from Chris Young!
Chris Young, Nashville Star 2006, at CountryHome
Chris Young from a little town just outside Nashville, TN.. Heve lived in Tennessee
all his life, which is kind of rare for being a country artist. Most people move to
Nashville, and he just kind of drive to it; its about thirty minutes away from home.
He got into country music because of his grandfather. He got him listening to Marty
Robbins, Lefty Frizzell, Hank Williams and people like that. It spurred him on to start
listening to country music and create his own little niche for myself.
Check out interview Chris Young gave me:
