Nashville Line Dancers Aalen

The Nashville Line Dancers Aalen (NLDA) have been performing this dance style with great enthusiasm already for several years. The group performs more than 150 dances of the category Country Line Dance and is regarded as one of Germany’s top Show Line Dancers. Elvis songs are presented in the best Line Dance fashion.

‘’Tribute To The King Of Music & Viva Las Vegas Dance Show’’ – their dance show is viewed as unique in Germany. They also act as background dancers in the show of the great, internationally well known Elvis double Jack Favor, who is also known as ‘’Eifel-Elvis’’,

‘’ the best Elvis since Elvis ’’.

Their many performances speak for themselves: NLDA is Line Dance Show at it’s best.

NLDA targets at having Line Dance (which originally supported only Country and Western Music) mingled with other music styles such as Elvis music, pop music etc.

Thus Line Dance shall be opened to a broader audience and it shall be shown to the puplic, how divers this dance style with nowadays more than 4000 different dances can be.

If you like, you can sign our guestbook.

More Information about and contact to NLDA you get at:  www.nlda.de  or E-Mail: linedancersnlda@aol.com

Pete Schlegel

PeteSchlegel-bw.jpg (4241 bytes)Country music artists Daryle Singletary (“Too Much Fun”) and Pete Schlegel (“Liquor to Like Her”) will be hitting the road together during 2006 on the “Double S / Rockin’ Country” Tour.

Pete Schlegel met Daryle Singletary at a concert event in 2000, where Pete's family owned the outdoor venue. Across the street from the venue, Pete, a commercial helicopter and airplane pilot, landed on a grass runway and took Daryle for an airplane ride. When Pete was considering tourmates, he thought of Daryle. One phone call later and the two were reminiscing about their flight and discussing their upcoming tour.

Daryle Singletary arrived on the contemporary country scene in the mid-'90s, winning fans with his simple, honest songwriting and distinctively gravelly vocals. Daryle’s hit singles include "I Let Her Lie," "Too Much Fun," and “The Note.” He has been a part of the Honky Tonk Tailgate Tour, with Rhett Akins and Wade Hayes.

Pete Schlegel’s music has been described as a guitar-driven, up-tempo, honky-tonk sound. Reminiscent of his inspirations, Ernest Tubb, George Jones, and Brooks & Dunn, Pete’s sound is timeless. Pete’s vocals are delivered just the way they’re written: genuinely. His three national U.S. releases, “Short For Gone,” “Leaving Ain’t As Easy As It Sounds,” and "It Takes A Whole Lotta Liquor To Like Her” have appeared on the Music Row charts, and his video for “Liquor to Like Her” has been aired on Great American Country (GAC) and VH1 Country. Pete will be releasing his new cd, I’m Not Listening, in early 2006.

MP3s of "Short for Gone," a copy of the Strong Stuff album, interviews, & print quality photos available by request.

Rustie Blue

In preparation for Christmas music playlists, Wildfire Publicity has 3 Christmas songs available: Rustie Blue's version of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and "Rockin Around The Christmas Tree" and Tresa Street's original "Christmas of Love".

With music influences like Patsy Cline and Elvis, it's obvious why Rustie Blue crosses so many barriers. No matter what Rustie sings, her true blue country vocals are very much apparent! Her energetic stage performance and charismatic personality makes Blue a refreshing experience and somebody you won't forget!

Tresa Street is noted for her radio singles Naturally and Ain’t Nothin’ Changed, which gained her international attention. She is a prolific writer and wrote both her singles. Although Tresa is known as one of today’s modern country artists, she does not limit herself to just one style. She writes songs in a modern country style about love, romance, and life. She has known the joy of true love; she has suffered the pain of losing; she has felt the ecstasy of passion. When she writes, it's from the heart; when she sings, it's from her soul. Tresa Street is all about music - all kinds and all styles.

For more information, MP3s, photos, or to schedule a phoner, contact Laura Claffey with Wildfire Publicity at wildfirepublicity@comcast.net or 615-825-0019.

Tresa Street

TresaStreet-TubbBus.jpg (8657 bytes)Country music artist Tresa Street will be performing on the world famous Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree, on November 5th, 2005, at the historic Texas Troubadour Theater in Nashville Tennessee. For the Saturday night event, Tresa will be performing a song written by her and co-writer Don Harp that has never been released. The show will be hosted by Country Music’s, Margo Smith.

The Midnight Jamboree began in 1947, adjacent to the Ernest Tubb Record Shop on Broadway in Nashville, TN. It was and still is broadcast every Saturday night before a live audience immediately following the Grand Ole Opry. Originally, the Midnite Jamboree featured a different country music star as host for the hour long show and served as a showcase for deserving young hopefuls and their latest record releases. The Midnite Jamboree continues to this day, and is WSM radio 650-AM’s second-longest continuous broadcast.

TresaStreet41a.jpg (6581 bytes)Tresa Street is on top of the world...the IndieWorld Country Record Report! "Rockin' a Baby," a bluesy-country song with Tresa voicing her complaint about immature men, has made it to the #1 spot on this chart! "Rockin' a Baby" can be found on her Ain't Nothin' Changed cd.

Tresa Street will be performing on the world famous Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree, on November 5th, 2005, at the historic Texas Troubadour Theater in Nashville Tennessee. For the Saturday night event, Tresa will be performing a song written by her and co-writer Don Harp that has never been released.

Tresa Street recently re-released Baby It’s You, which was previously available only on vinyl records. When Baby It’s You was originally released in 1996, promotion of the album was cut short when Tresa’s mother was involved in an accident, and Tresa put her career on hold to care for her.

Tresa Street is noted for her radio singles Naturally and Ain’t Nothin’ Changed, which gained her international attention. She is a prolific writer and wrote both her singles. Skyla Spencer

Skyla4.jpg (3656 bytes)Country music artist Skyla Spencer has released a new single to overseas radio! Skyla's "Why Do You Do This To Me" is a medium-tempo ballad that reflects on a love that comes back to you, and you are faced with the ultimate decision of letting them back into your life, or moving on without them. This song is filled with steel guitar. "Why Do You Do This To Me" can be found on her current cd (You Said You’d Call Me), and on Hillcrest Vol. 27.

When asked how she describes her music, Skyla replies “My music is fun, energetic, & up-lifting. I love a sense of humor, and that shows through on some of my songs. I also enjoy writing ballads. Some of the songs on this album are from real life experiences, but it’s through these experiences, either good or bad, that I have become stronger. My first album is dedicated to the people I have lost in my life and to the troops who sacrifice so much for us.” The album features a song titled “If I Were Rain” that is a special dedication to the troops. It explains how, in the tough times that we are facing, the one thing that we can do is to pray for one another. “If I Were Rain” hit Christian radio in July.

For more information, an MP3 of “Why Do You Do This To Me”, the You Said You’d Call Me album, photos, or to schedule a phoner, contact Laura Claffey with Wildfire Publicity at wildfirepublicity@comcast.net or 615-825-0019.

ann-marita.jpg (12365 bytes)Ann-Marita is a Top 10 Finalist for the Best Country Artist MusicOz Award! The MusicOz Awards are Australia's premier awards for unsigned and independent artists, nationally televised every year from the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong. Ann-Marita had this to say: "I'm just blown away, and so grateful to all of you out there who have helped me get to this point; the DJs, the record reviewers, the fans, all my friends out there!" The award show will be held on December 1st.

Ann-Marita's current single from her self-titled cd, "Alive And Kickin’," has been described as "a 'can’t hold me down' declaration that will stir the blood of 'Hell-Yeah' girls everywhere"! This song, with its driving rock beat, pumping bass and bluesy harmonica has had listeners draw comparisons to both classic Rolling Stones and country rocker Wynonna Judd. Ann-Marita’s powerhouse voice delivers this 3-minute anthem of rediscovered independence with unshakable conviction.

"Alive and Kickin'" is currently at #34 on the Independent World Country chart. Ann-Marita says that "the response from radio and fans worldwide has been great. My first single, "Face In The Crowd", was mellow and melancholic, and "Alive And Kickin'" is anything BUT that!" "Alive and Kickin'" can be found on WHP #58 and on NFS Publicity #100 in Australia.

Ann-Marita describes her debut cd as being about "growing up, and having to do it a little faster than expected. It’s about heartbreak, survival and finding your place in the world … When someone tells me that they were moved by one of my songs, …I know that I’ve hit the mark." Ann-Marita wrote all of the songs for her self-titled album.

Ann-Marita is about to return to the studio to begin recording her sophomore album, tentatively titled Intuition.

For more information on Ann-Marita, please contact Laura at wildfirepublicity@comcast.net or 615-825-0019. Photos, her self-titled cd, Alive and Kickin' MP3, and interviews available to radio and the media by request. We now also have a MEDIA ONLY download page for downloading photos & MP3s.

II. A word from Billy

I just got in a few days ago from my second UK tour. It really was a great time and I enjoyed seeing so many of you at the shows. I saw several of you at many of the shows and that made each night very special. We had great crowds with so many enthusiastic people enjoying the music each night. After the four weeks in the UK, the band came back to Nashville and I went north to Sweden where I worked with my buddies there, Tennessee Five at one show there. Again, I saw some of you there and the crowd was really fired up for this one!

Now I'll be here in the States for the rest of the Winter and will head back to Europe in March. I really look forward to more shows there next year!

The songs are going well, with great success on the European charts. I can't thank you all enough for requesting the music. You guys really do a great job of spreading the word!

In other news... I'm still writing lots of songs and continue to keep my fingers crossed that many of the current "holds" will turn into more cuts! Still, you should watch for new cuts on projects by Joe Nichols, Tracy Lawrence, Jeff Bates and The Oak Ridge Boys.

I want to thank you again for all of your support. It's so nice to read your messages on the guest book. I also get the personal emails and as always, I try my very best to respond to them all.

Until next time!

IV. Billy's music is heard all over Europe

Currently all over Europe (according to the ECMA), you will find Billy's music reaching the top of charts everywhere!
His last single, "Harmony Man" rests at number 8 in France, number 7 in Holland, number 16 in Spain and number 2 in Germany.

According to the European CMA Chart, after only two weeks and after being the highest ranking debut (debuting at number 83 ) has now made an amazing jump to number 24 on the ECMA's top 100 country music radio chart. "Harmony Man" is also ranked at number 8 among the 200 most played songs for the ECMA's latest survey. Billy's second single, "This Song Doesn't Rock" still remains on the chart where it has remained for 12 weeks. It peaked at number two! His first European release, "Anywhere But Nashville" remained on the charts for 20 weeks, peaking at number 8.

IV. Billy in the news

If you keep up with the magazines in the United States, Europe and the UK, you'll see that Billy is everywhere. After gracing the cover of the UK's Up Country magazine, you will find great articles not only in that magazine, but also in recent issues of Country Weekly, CMA Close-up, the UK's Line Dancer, Southern Country and Maverick. Please let us know if you see other articles or reviews on Billy's CD's or live performances. We'd love to know!

V. New single debuts at number one

After the great success of Billy's last few singles in Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand, it should come as no surprise that his latest single, "I Don't Think You're Pretty", made it's debut at number one on the CHI Hotdisc chart out of Scotland where it now remains after four weeks. The CHI Hotdisc chart is based on feedback from radio presenters all over Europe and is compiled from a scoring system reported by the announcers indicating great passion from European radio for Billy's "I Don't Think You're Pretty". If you listen to a country radio program and want to hear Billy, don't be shy! Call 'em up and request your favorite Billy song.

VI. UK Tour: Another huge success

For the second time now in the UK, Billy's music has touched the hearts of many. After embarking on his second tour to the UK (the first tour was late last year) with shows in England, Scotland and Wales, Billy reports great crowds filled with fans who love real country music. Billy and his band, Long Neck Jones are looking forward to returning to the UK next year for a number of festivals there in July. Watch this site for updated tour dates as they are confirmed.

VII. John Russell's "tour book" (get an inside look from the UK tour)

John is a good friend from the UK. He always shares his thoughts and impressions of seeing Billy live with me. He and his lovely wife Pam are big supporters of Billy and his music and we all have become the best of friends. I love John stories "from the road" and I would like to share some of them with you.

So this is how being on the road with Billy and a band is: Billy Yates & Longneck Jones UK Tour 2005

Where it began
It was Tuesday 20th September; we were to go to the first Show in Norfolk at Hemsby.

We arrived looking for Billy’s chalet, when the cell phone rang. “I’m over here Billy said waving to us. After parking we visited with him and met, Sean Patrick McGraw and Jeff Beam.

After a short visit and chat it was time to go into the Ballroom to see the show.

The Show
Longneck Jones opened for Billy, Sean sang his original material, and played lead guitar.

On Bass was Jeff Beam, on drums Keith Thoma and Danny Dunn on Pedal Steel Guitar. Roadie Pedro.

Along Came Billy
Billy did his usual amazing show, treating the audience to songs such as “Anywhere But Nashville”, “Harmony Man”, The potent “Infinite Love”, “Alcohol Abuse” and many more of his own tracks. He included a Keith Whitley song “I Never Go Around Mirrors” This chilling song was greatly enhanced by the Incredibly Talented “Danny Dunn” playing Pedal Steel Guitar. All the musicians worked hard and captured the mood of Billy’s songs. The flanged guitar sound the kicks off “Harmony Man” was stunning.

After finishing the show, Billy Signed CD’s and chatted with the fans (And sampled the British Beer) we left the boys to relax for a few days.

Saturday 8th October 2005
After a hearty meal and a few photographs, we loaded the van for me to drive the guys to Hemsby Village Hall.
The place was heaving. Folks had come from all around to see “Billy Yates” and Longneck Jones.
Roy Waller, (BBC Radio Norfolk) was the MC for the evening.

Jeff and Danny went missing. Oh No! It was my job to see that this sort of thing didn’t happen. Bet I get “Fired”. I went back stage to take one last look. I might have known. Jeff was eating a huge roll, in his words; “filled with 5 pieces of bacon and two eggs” Danny had found something similar. Where do those guys put all that food? At least my job was safe. What Billy didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him. (Sorry Boss)..

Roy Waller, (BBC Radio Norfolk) was the MC for the evening.
The show was opened by “West Virginia”
Followed by Longneck Jones. Sean Sang “Fiona” And “I Want To But I Won’t”; Two of the many songs he has written. Then after a short break, Roy Waller Announced “Lets here it for Mr Billy Yates and Longneck Jones” Folks were not disappointed, the hall rocked with thunderous applause after each song Billy sang.

After he told the story of his close friend “Annette Grossburg” Billy began to sing “Infinite Love”. Silence took over as everyone was treated to a live performance of the song that sold a million for George Strait.

After the set was over Billy sang “I Don’t need your Rocking Chair” as an encore.

Before folks left Billy spent, time visiting with folks, signing and chatting and having photographs taken.

Finally, we loaded the van and got back to the house, after a late night drink, it was time for bed.

Wednesday 12th October 2005.
We all went to Thorpe Train Station and began a journey to “London”, too see the sights. After the normal British Rail “Technical Difficulties”, we arrived, not at Liverpool Street, (Our Destination) but two stops away.

We all bought tickets for the underground train and first stop was “St. Paul’s Cathedral, the boys were real excited at going in to this great historic place. And after climbing the steps that lead to the entrance, they stepped up to go inside. Sorry “Closed Today” can you come back tomorrow? No!

Back on the tube train. Lets go to see Big Ben. Yup Big Ben was there, but a sign saying that there was a McDonalds over the other side of Westminster Bridge was too tempting. As we crossed the Bridge we saw the “London Eye” and you guessed it. It “Rained”. After out McD’s we bought umbrellas that had the Union Jack as the water stopper bit, (Opposite to the handle), only it didn’t we got really soaked through.

Well soaked to the skin we bravely walked past “Downing Street” & “Horse guards Parade”, we each took it in turns to pose for photographs standing next to the guards, on duty there.

I know you are tired wet and fed up with this rain, but you just got to see “Buck Palace” so we did. Then someone said, we want to see Westminster Abbey and after buying John a dry top, we got a tube back to Westminster. Now this will be a place to remember guys. You can tell the folks back home, I’ve Been in Westminster Abbey” But a Sign Said, “Sorry closed”

That did it. The guys wanted to go back to Liverpool Street Train Station, to dry off. So we got them there safely, even if wet. Then what did they want? They wanted to find a pub. So leaving Billy in charge of the boys, he took the guys to the pub, while we had a snack at the station, but not before leaving strict instructions. “Be back here at 7:10 Sharp”.

At 7.10 Sharp I rang Billy’s Cell Phone, no reply. After a few moments delay, he called “We’re on our way” but by the noise, I knew they were still in the pub. Then after 5 minutes, here they come, travelling down the escalator laughing and singing. We pretended not to be with them. (All The Way Home)

As the train stopped at various stations, the guys were thanking folks for travelling with British Rail and telling them to “Come Back Soon Ya Here”

When we got back to Thorpe Train Station, the boys wanted to go to eat. Sorry guys, I’ve got to go to work tomorrow, but I’ll take you for to the Chip Shop.

[Thank you John for letting me use parts of your diary here for all fans to read! Sounds like a lot of fun you had with the boys from USA! Jutta]
