Oliphant & Project Linus of Nashville - The Missing Websites Tony's website isn't gone.. not actually, but you can't access it
online yet due to the unscrupulous web host server company that previously held Tony's web
site. I have been working for TWO months to get his site posted on a new and BETTER
server, Globat.com, but the CEO at WebLinkHosting.com (previous server), while claiming to
have "renewed" Tony's domain after I paid to have it done, has yet to
"Unlock" the domain name so that the Globat can take over hosting it. I will
give a lot of credit to the Globat team as they (folks in the offices, not techs) have
worked with me and WLH directly to help me get this taken care of. At no fault of Gloabat,
Tony's service is paid for and waiting to be filled with his site, but no thanks to WLH it
still sits idle.
I have the same problem with another client's site,
"Project Linus-Nashville.org", which is a non-profit charity that makes quilts
and blankets for children who have been traumatized in any way. The work they do is
tremendous and a true service to the children in the area... yet it is also in the same
state as Tony's site.
Now, what does that say to you about a service that will
hold a non-profit children's charity hostage??!! I wish I could afford a lawyer, alas, if
I had that kind of money, I could do so much more and I would certainly take WLH to task!
Since I have no money for that, all I can do is alert you, the online public, DO NOT deal
with WebLinkHosting.com. They're crooks and unsavory, heartless leeches that would even
take money from a children's charity without so much as a blink of an eye!
I'll keep fighting until something is done. If anyone out
there has ANY ideas on how to accomplish this faster, or can offer any help at all, it
would be greatly appreciated by all involved... except maybe WLH. ;)

Former Army Vet Hank Brake to Perform for Vietnam Veterans During Operation
Welcome Home in Las Vegas
The Aviation Nation Foundation proudly announces that Vet own Star
Chaser Recording Artist Hank Brake will perform live on stage during the Operation Welcome
Home celebration weekend in Las Vegas, NV. Operation Welcome Home is being presented by
Las Vegas and the U.S. Air Force over Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 11-13th.
Mr. Brake's newest release, "Thank You", has been chosen as the theme song for
Operation Welcome Home, the "Thank You and Welcome Home" event to honor the 2.7
million Vietnam Veterans who served.
Hank recorded this moving tribute, written by Daniel Smith, in honor of all past and
present members of our Armed Forces, but most especially for his Uncle, Army 1st
Lieutenant Kenneth Slaughter, who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1970. "I finally
found a way to say Thank You to my Uncle for his service to our country. I only wish he
was here so I could shake his hand and say it to him personally", says Mr. Brake.
"My goal is to have any American who has ever worn the uniform, past or present, to
hear the song and understand just how much we appreciate their duty to country and
sacrifices they and their families make while defending our freedoms. I am especially
honored to be a part of thanking those who served with my Uncle Ken, in Vietnam."
Hank will be performing at Aviation
Nation 2005The Nellis Air Force Base-Las Vegas Centennial Air Show, as
part of the USO show and at other events associated with the air show. He may also
perform, at a time to be announced, during the nightly Patriots Party on Fremont Street in
Downtown Las Vegas. The Patriots Party includes a salute to the USO and is free to the
public.
Hank Brake has donated hundreds of hours of time entertaining Americas active duty
military and veterans at multiple events across the U.S., including military and veterans
hospitals.
"We are honored to have Hank Brake be a part of this celebration, and look forward to
his Thank You song that will be performed for thousands of veterans who will be present in
Las Vegas for this momentous occasion", said Bob Avery, Organizing Chairman for
Operation Welcome Home.

* REVIEW NOTES
Oct 24 .. Mon .. TN, Nashville .. Bluebird Cafe
Hurricane Katrina Benefit for Red Cross
I always love going to The Bluebird Cafe. The Bluebird Cafe is the flagship club for
Nashville Writer's Nights. Wade joined Buddy Jewell, Britton Curry, Bobby Carmichael, and
Rivers Rutherford for a round robin style performance before a very receptive packed
house. The event benefited Katrina survivors.
By design, a Writer's Night features songs sung by the author. They may be well-known or
as yet unpublished, something old or something so new that the ink isn't dry yet. Bluebird
audiences come to listen and they appreciate the music.
On the first round, Wade sang "She Knows Me (But Loves Me Anyway)." On
subsequent rounds he did two as yet un-recorded songs, "Blessings in Disguise."
and "The Devil Song." This tongue in cheek romp was the crowd pleaser of the
evening (got the loudest applause). He closed with his signature hit, "Old Enough to
Know Better."
----------------
October 27 - 31 - 3rd Annual Country Music Cruise
Well, actually, it began with a Pre-Cruise BBQ on the lawn of the Harbor House Hotel in
Galveston. Pleasant weather, Judge Bean's BBQ, and a Silent Auction to benefit Hurricane
Katrina victims set the stage. Four of the performers, Trent Willmon, Shelly Fairchild,
Jon Randall and Wade were there to "pick a few" and to mingle with those who'd
made it in. Jeff's bus didn't get there until much later in the evening . Wade lingered to
watch a few innings of the World Series with some of the baseball fans in the crowd. Jeff
came out on the sidewalk next to his bus on Thursday morning to talk and visit with those
who were waiting on the shuttle to the ship.
Jon Randall's concert was held Thursday night - late. Meet and Greets for each artist were
held on Friday.
Wade and Trent had a joint show on Friday before supper. And were they ever well
received!!! After Wade's set of 6 of his familiar songs, he left the room for a short
time. (He'll know better the next time - <smile>). While he was out of the room,
Storme Warren (from GAC) auctioned a personal serenade from Wade (song of the recipient's
choice) to be sung in the recipient's doorway on the ship. The bidding quickly rose to
$600 to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims. When Wade re-entered the room, one of the
musicians on stage spotted him and started a chant of "Wade Wade Wade." It took
the audience less than 2 seconds to loudly join in. The "deer-in-the-headlights"
look on Wade's face was priceless; he had no clue as to what had transpired. When
informed, he was very gallant about the auction.
Saturday morning we were in Progresso, the substitute destination for the closed Cozumel.
Since the beach party for the country cruisers had to be canceled, the artists did a
"pickin" or "jam" session that afternoon on the raised platform stage
next to the pool - open to anyone. It was a good opportunity for the performers to have
their music heard by individuals who hadn't ever attended a country music show. Of course,
it was a treat for the rest of us, too. Wade took a stool and played the guitar for each
of the artists, as well as providing some background vocals.
Sunday was a day at sea with all of us looking forward to the final concert performance -
Jeff and Shelly headlining it and all of the others joining in for the finale. Wade was on
stage for all of Shelly's performance, playing the guitar and being the band leader for
Trent's band which was supporting Shelly. Many in the audience and Trent, Shelly and Wade
were in Halloween costumes. Trent as a pirate, Shelly as wild-haired rock performer (could
it have been Elvis?), and Wade as Gilligan. Who would have thought that the "little
buddy" was such a hot guitar player. Lots of fun going on.
One of the fun things about a cruise with country music artists is the way they mix and
mingle - from sunning on the deck to eating in the dining room and all points in between.
It makes for a fun and exciting vacation.
Wade was really a hit with the cruisers. And he definitely showed his musical versatility
and talent in backing up others when he hadn't played with them before. If there's such a
thing as a musician "utility infielder," he's it.
Wade's already said he plans to be there next year. That's enough notice for the rest of
us to make our plans, too. I hope to see you there.
Helen
And a special "hey" to all you cruisers. If you have pictures and/or comments to
share, please send them in.

Greetings,
Salutations and HOWDY!
Yes, I am alive and well working in central Illinois on B104 radio. Among my other duties,
I host a Sunday Night program called "Classic Country with Eddie Bear" 7 to 10pm
central time, that I think you might enjoy. Yes, you can listen online at www.wbwn.com
I also work weeknights playing today's country.
This Sunday night, I'll be airing an interview with Whisperin' Bill Anderson
at 8pm central time.Note from Marli: This is part of
an email from my old pal, Eddie Bear. Eddie was the FIRST online DJ to agree to play the
indie's music on his ETC Country Radio show for me, which started a wave of fame for
all... then lo and behold... other online stations popped up all over playing indie music!
Eddie held interviews with the artists from the indies to the the stars and legends. Eddie
also hosted the 2nd CAF benefit produced by Jimmy Williams in Indiana near Louisville,
Kentucky. We all miss Eddie's online independant radio station but you don't have to miss
Eddie! Be sure to tune into to WBWN and catch his shows!

SONGS ABOUT MUSICIANS.
Songwriter are always looking for new subjects, and its funny how few songs are
written about the people who play music.
Here are two I wrote to fill that void.
First, The Family Band.
This is about amateurs who love to get together and pick. With a slightly red face, I
admit that I wrote it after listening to Daddy Sang Bass.
THE FAMILY BAND.
(Fast waltz with wildlife.)
Grandma found a brand new sound
Tickling her canary. (Bird trill)
Lord, she made that poor thing sing
'Til it wasn't sanitary.
Uncle Pete kept the beat
Squeezing on a frog (Croak).
Baby sister raised a blister
Gumming on the dog. (Dog bark optional.)
(Musical interlude here for twin fiddles, bird, and frog.)
Old aunt Grace sang the bass.
Grampa sang soprano.
Papa Joe ran his toes
Up and down the old piano.
We could never understand
Why Mama ran away,
'Cause we were all in hog heaven
When the Family Band would play.
(All together now, with a Mexican feeling!)
Ay ay-------(Croak) (Tweet)
Ay ay-------(Croak) (Tweet)
Ay ay-------(Croak) (Tweet)
Ay ay-------(Croak) (Tweet)
(And, of course, a retarded ending.)
* * *
The next one is about a band that was really good, but lost their steady gig anyway.
Ive known these bands, and have even been in a couple.
RUSTY AND THE COWBOYS.
(Chorus)
Rusty and The Cowboys don't play here anymore.
They took their picture down from the wall out by the door.
They tried their best to play requests,
Put their hearts in every song.
Now Rusty And The Cowboys are gone.
Rusty went to Nashville,
I heard somebody say.
Curly moved to Macon,
Or someplace down that way.
Clyde's out selling siding,
But he hasn't made a sale.
Buck went back to drinkin',
And Jack went back to jail.
There's a new bunch up there singin' now
But I don't know their names
The register's still ringin'
And the crowd's about the same
But Rusty and The Cowboys
Had everything it takes
And I think they might have made it
If they'd only got the breaks
Rusty and The Cowboys don't play here anymore
They took their picture down from the wall out by the door
They tried their best to play requests
Put their hearts in every song
Now Rusty and The Cowboys
Are gone

A
Different Way to Be On Tour
I just received an e-mail from a realtor pal and it got me thinking about unique exposure
opportunities for musicians. It seems a number of houses in the same neighborhood have
just been renovated and are now on the market for sale. To draw potential buyers, the
realtors involved are having a house tour.
But the focus of this tour isn't only on the houses. To make things interesting, each
house will host an exhibit by a fine artist and live music from an area musician. Cool
idea.
Thought nugget: Anywhere that a group of people are gathering, it's an opportunity to get
your music into the ears of potential new fans. Don't think about nightclubs, coffee shops
and traditional venues only. Think in terms of opportunities to reach groups of people.
What other events and venues might apply? How about singles events, bingo nights, haunted
houses (since we just celebrated Halloween), tenant appreciation parties at apartment
complexes, art exhibit openings, or strip mall sidewalk sales?
The possibilities are limitless. Think about it. Then act on your ideas. Talk to people,
make some calls, and make things happen!Get many,
many more ideas and how-to hints from Bob Baker's book, "Guerrilla Music Marketing, Encore Edition:
201 More Self-Promotion Ideas, Tips & Tactics for Do-It-Yourself Artists,"

Our PalTalk Show has been responsible for Sales, Bookings, Friendships, Artists meeting
DJs, DJs meeting Artists, Companionship, Promotions and extended Airplay for
our Artists.
Here are a few statements made by our DJs and Artists:
I first joined the WHP/TKO Pal Talk Radio Room not long after it started and I have never
met so many lovely people in one place, what brings us all together is our love of Country
Music.
I have been a Country Music DJ for the last 6 years here in my slice of Paradise in NZ and
the opportunity to play the Independent Artists has been a wonderful experience for me
it is getting hard to choose which artist to play because there are so many out there. On
commercial radio you usually only get to hear the Big label stars and the Indies dont get
a look in.
WHP/TKO Radio room has changed a lot of that We now have such a pool of artists to air and
the listeners are enjoying the "New Country" as they call it I get many phone
calls on air asking me about them, So Thank you Gary & Tom for giving us this
opportunity to increase our knowledge of the real Country Music stars
To all you Artists keep the music rolling. you are all great stars in my eyes.
It has also given me the chance to put my music out there I thought I had left my run at
being a country singer far behind, it goes to show you are never too old to you all that
have received and enjoyed my music I Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Keep on Keeping it Country

I get a big kick out of going into the Paltalk room. After so many years of people telling
me to hang it up, forget about it, and it will never happen, it feels great to finally
know that somewhere out there in this world, there is a group of people that do appreciate
my little version of what I have always envied others for getting to do.

Loraine Washburn (The Washburns)
How WHP/TKO Paltalk Radio Room Has helped me
I have made literally THOUSANDS of dollars due to this room!
I estimate I have made over $16,000
Last year I stumbled on a room in paltalk that was being set up by Gary Bradshaw and Tom
Cunningham TKO... I stuck around for an hour or so to find out what was going on, and
learned that it was being set up for DJ's from around the world and Independent artists...
Curiosity kept me there, and I learned more about the program, I was an outsider (just a
listener) but was very impressed that someone was going to all this trouble for
independent artists, especially since I had some home recordings myself.
I became a regular in that room, and Tom asked me if I could sing, I told him I had some
home recordings and he asked me to send them to him...before I knew it he had set it up
for me to Record a song at Echota Records.
Next Gary put the song on his comp...within a month that one song was getting us on the
world wide charts... DJ's from the paltalk room were spinning the song in the room, and on
their stations, and I was getting e-mails from DJ's all over the world asking me for more
music...Soon people started to know who The Washburns were, My husband Jonathan and I
recorded some more, trading out demo singing for recording, then as more people learned
about us, we got opportunities to co-write and get paid for that work, I have also
received the opportunity to do web sites for some of the artists I have met, and will be
working on the 2006 Jamboree web site coming out soon for Buster Doss!
We have had our songs advertised so much that this year alone on soundclick as of today
October 12th 2005 we have had 80,577 plays of our songs If you don't believe that check it
out yourself, the numbers are on the main page...that got the attention of Dan and Ruby
Gold, who used to produce songs for Frank Sinatra and Roy Orbison, he offered to pay me to
do a demo for a song he was sending to Alison Krauss
We are now receiving song requests from all over the world, we recently recorded for Bob
Johnson a promoter out of Canada, and are receiving top rated songs worldwide to record...
We have met SOOOOO many artists that we have been able to collaborate with, I have
received music tracks from Spain, from England, from Canada ...the list goes on, these are
people I have met in the room who have helped us out on the production of our music, they
are more than artists , they are friends, many of us spend time in the WHP room and get to
know each other, I have had the opportunity to play in several shows with the people I
have met.
The reason I wrote this is because, sooo many DJ's and artists are missing out by not
checking it out, there is no cost at all, you can promote yourself and get your songs out
there, the more the merrier, we sometimes have open mic for musicians that want to play
their guitars and sing, we have camera's if you want to have them on....we have special
shows like the Looney show on Monday night where we play theme songs and often dress up
accordingly and get on cam and just have a great time, we run FM radio station shows from
around the world that feature many of the people who may be reading this right now!!!
How cool it is to come into paltalk on Friday morning and listen to Q6 Country SportFM
from Australia with Derek Cusick and hear him playing our songs, and including us in his
show....How cool is it that DJ's volunteer their time in there, accept our music and play
it for everyone to hear, advertising yourself in the room is absolutely encouraged, its a
win win situation...
Folks if it wasn't for WHP/TKO /Paltalk no one would know who I was, in one year I think
we have accomplished more than some people have done in several years, This is the age of
computers and MP3's take advantage of it, come and visit www.paltalk.com look for the WHP
(Western Heart Promotions) Room in the music section.

Celebrating his 87th Birthday on Monday, November 7, Billy Graham has dedicated his life
to traveling the world, spreading the Good News and offering a simple message of love and
hope to millions. Throughout his life and ministry, hes been a great friend to
numerous American Presidents, foreign leaders and dignitaries, kings and queens, the high
and mighty and alsoperhaps most importantly in his eyes-- the downtrodden.
As youll see at the close of Larry King Live the night of November 7, when
CNNs famed talk show host airs the documentary style video for the all-star tribute
song Thank You Billy Graham, his impact extends to many of the biggest starts
in the music industry as well.
His longtime friend, legendary crooner Pat Boone, felt it was high time to pay tribute to
the man and his ministrywhile the beloved evangelist is still alive to appreciate
it.
Boone, who is currently available for interviews, has many fascinating behind the scenes
stories to tell about the historic project, a true labor of love that was seven years in
the making. Featuring vocal contributions from top artists from the worlds of country,
pop, R&B and gospel musicplus spoken passages from King and Dr. Graham
himself--Thank You Billy Graham by Pat Boone and Friends is the We Are
The World of the current generation, the perfect way to celebrate the Carolina
farmers sons life and legacy on the occasion of his birthday.
In addition to a heartfelt spoken word introduction by U2 frontman Bonoyes, you can
ask Pat about the watershed moment when Boone-o met Bono--the
recording and video includes vocal contributions from Leann Rimes, Michael McDonald, Kenny
Rogers, Jeffrey Osborne, Andre Crouch, Marty Stuart, DC Talk, Mark Kibble, top country
producer James Stroud, Vestal Goodman, John Ford Coley, John Elefante, Christ Church Choir
and Lisa Bevil.
Written by Boone, former Ambrosia frontman and Grammy winning gospel producer David Pack
(who produced the track) and popular country singer Billy Dean, the song and accompanying
DVD video are currently available on Glory Train, Boones collection of gospel
surprises newly released on Boones The Gold Label in association with Oak Records,
distributed by Sony Distribution.
Net proceeds from the song and video will benefit Mercy Corps and Samaritans Purse
(a humanitarian organization run by Billys son Franklin Graham) for Hurricane
Katrina and poverty relief around the world.
Opening with the line, On the 7th of November, 1918 he was born/To a Carolina farmer
and his wife, Thank You Billy Graham is a magnificent autobiographical
journey through the evangelists life, which recognizes his selfless service in
bringing spiritual guidance and charity to the most impoverished and remote areas of the
world.
Each verse builds to the irresistible singalong chorus: He Heard the word, got the
call/ Took the message to us all/Said it so we all could understand/Around the world, here
at home/He let us know were not alone/Oh thank you, Billy Graham.
A sneak preview of the video of Thank You, Billy Graham, and more information
about the project, is available on www.patbooneandfriends.com

The RocknRoll Show
Rock'n'Roll is Dead - Long Live Rock'n'Roll
..
People have been saying that Rock'n'Roll is dead for some years now, but then
over the years a number of artists have proved otherwise. The latest star to challenge the
theory is Ireland's easy listening star, Daniel O'Donnell. His three rocknroll
albums have all been gold discs and as such inspired the special tour and forthcoming DVD
-The RocknRoll Show.
The RocknRoll Show is a massive 2 hours and 40 minutes with
43 highly entertaining tracks many of them drawn from these three hugely successful
albums. With national TV and radio support there is every indication that, like his
previous two DVDs, this will be another No.1 UK music DVD for Daniel.
Daniels chart achievements are quite astonishing and bear repeating - he is the only
artist who has had an album in the UK charts every year for the past eighteen
years, which is no mean feat.
For this one-off concert tour, out of the window went the trademark stylish suits and
patent shoes and in their place jeans, leather jacket and the inevitable blue suede shoes.
Daniel has frequently included a rock'n'roll song or medley in his normal stage
performance, but such has been the interest generated by these hit albums that last
September he toured this Rock'n'Roll spectacular around some major venues in the UK and
Ireland. Daniel's normal band was augmented by a brass section and the show also featured
a colourful nostalgic stage set and a very lively group of young dancers. The end result
was entertainment with a capital E and many observers have said that the show should be a
West End production. That may happen in the future, but for the moment we have a sparkling
DVD, a fast moving and highly entertaining one, so please judge for yourselves.
