Hurry! There are less than three weeks left to
enter the International Songwriting Competition
(ISC), and ISC has made it even easier for you
to submit your songs! Instead of searching for
packing materials and trying to find time to get
to the post office, you can enter online with
your mp3s. It's very easy and fast. Visit us
at www.songwritingcompetition.com to enter
online. If you'd like to enter through the
mail, click here for an entry form and more
information.
ISC gives away over $150,000 in cash and prizes
to 62 winners (not to mention the press,
recognition, exposure, and kudos!). The Overall
Grand Prize includes $25,000 (US) in cash - the
largest cash Grand Prize of any songwriting
competition in the world - and over $20,000 in
prizes. ISC welcomes entries from songwriters
throughout the world, whether you're an amateur
recording in your basement or you've just
finished a new studio album.
New Category For 2008: (ISC)
has added a brand new Music Video category this
year and has solicited many high-profile judges
in the music video arena to judge the entries,
including Amy Doyle (Sr. VP of Music and Talent,
MTV); Rick Krim (Executive VP Talent and
Programming, VH1); and more. This is your chance
to get your video seen by the industry
executives who actually make the decisions about
which videos get played.
Entrants may submit songs in any of the
following categories: Pop/Top 40, AAA (Adult
Album Alternative), Rock, Country, Americana,
R&B/Hip-Hop, Blues, Folk/Singer-Songwriter,
Jazz, Gospel/Christian, Latin Music,
Instrumental, Dance/Electronica, Comedy/Novelty,
World Music, Children's Music, Lyrics Only,
Teen, Performance, and Music Video. Multiple
songs may be submitted in each category or the
same song may be entered in more than one
category.
A total of 55 high-profile music icons and
industry executives have joined together to
judge the 2008 ISC. Consistent in its tradition
of having such esteemed judges, ISC continues to
raise the bar for songwriting competitions. The
opportunity to have these judges hear your
songs offers you an unprecedented chance to
access these hard-to-reach, influential
decision-makers - the movers and shakers in the
music industry. ISC judges might even include
some of your favorite recording artists -
songwriters who have influenced your music.
