Aside from Glynn's obvious talent, there were many other
talents put into his album, "Uncle Sam, Mr. Jukebox and My Ex-Wife". I even love
the title.. which is also a song track on the album. Other credits go to Joe Coverly who
played Mandolin and Fiddle through the courtesy of Yankee Gray, Mike Headrick, a name I
hear often out of Nashville played lead guitar, steel guitar, dobro, acoustic guitar and
harmonica... not to mention that Mike was the recording engineer and co-producer of the
album with Glynn. (As you can see, Mike is not only talented, but a very busy man!) Backup
vocals by Jackie Harling, session and lead guitar, Kenny Berry, Bob Courter on drums, Nick
Holman on piano and Teri Headrick is listed as "The Boss". Ha! Gotta love it!
Another great talent and friend of mine as well as Glynn's
is Linda Fryer of Country Fryed News
who cowrote the song, "Bayou Moon", with Glynn and
Roberta Martin. "Bayou Moon", a Cajun tune, is the #1 track on the CD. This is
Linda's first published/recorded song so thanks to Glynn for your good taste and
congratulations to Linda on her success and talent!
There's a lot of great music to go around on "Uncle
Sam, Mr. Jukebox and My Ex-Wife" filled with 12 songs! I always love it when artists
are able to add those extra few songs in.. it's like a bonus to the fans... but when all
is said and done, "Uncle Sam, Mr. Jukebox and My Ex-Wife" is a bonus to any
country fan, with or without the extra tracks, and one worthy of any country music fan's
collection.
