Jeff Callery & Runaway Train Jeff Callery

Jeff Callery & Runaway Train are one of the hottest country music acts in Ontario. With a new CD release and some great radio airplay, Jeff's music has reached an audience of more than 500,000 listeners.

Jeff began playing and singing at clubs and festivals during high school (1989). He toured Ontario with Leaving Kentucky; a band he formed in 1993. During his 3 years as lead singer and front-man for the highly popular group, Jeff had the opportunity to perform with some of Canada's premiere country artists at festivals headlines by the likes of Joe Diffie and Shenandoah. Jeff performed as the opening act for Tracy Lawrence at his only Canadian date in 1995. He then headlined a hometown festival in 1995 to an audience in excess of 12,000 people. Jeff began a recording project in the spring of 1996 with Canada's premiere country producer Randall Prescott (Prescott-Brown) and one of Canada's premiere songwriters, Barry Brown. Singles are currently playing on radio station CFMK Country 96, Kingston, Ontario, Canada to approximately 250,000 listeners with good response.

A few fun facts on Jeff: Birth Date - March 10, 1973. Jeff has a twin brother, Jason, and a younger sister, Jean-Ann. He graduated College in Marketing with honors, and is employed full time at Brocktel, a division of Northern Electric.

Raves: "He may not be a star, but professionalism is something that Jeff Callery is already graced with." by Steve James, a writer for Limestone Live who did a cover story on Jeff. "These guys are GREAT!" by Barbara Cloyd (writer of Lorrie Morgan hit, "I Guess You Had To Be There) during open mic night at the Bluebird Cafe. "I love those guys." by Liz Hengber, songwriter for Reba McEntire's "For My Broken Heart", "It's Your Call" and "Still".

"I stay very busy creating web pages and filling requests to host artists, so I don't often ASK for more work but I enjoyed Jeff's music so much, I wanted to help gain more recognition for him." By ME!!! After you hear "If I Let Myself" you'll understand. This is a ballad well worth the price of an entire album. Another great composition, "Love Is All You Need" has the influence of Crosby, Stills and Nash which you'll recognize in the harmony. Great tune, great song and great voices make for one great recording.

When not working or playing, Jeff spends his spare time with his son, Tegan.
