Traditional
country music lovers will find a keeper in Bobby Kingston's, "Since I Lost You"
CD. It also gives the new generation of country listeners exposure to the roots of
country music as explained in his "Dedication".

is dedicated in loving memory of my father,
John 'Jack' William Kingston
(10/4/1925 - 5/19/1996).
My father's spirit and music has influenced my life more than anyone else. Nine of the ten
songs are songs that he either wrote, recorded, or published and I even used his old
electric guitar and amplifier on several of the songs. My father was an accomplished
singer, yodeler and country entertainer. If you listen close, you can definitely hear his
influence in my singing style. This CD will expose another generation to the fine music my
father dedicated his life to." |
Bobby "K" has the vocal range to compliment
this traditional sound and yodels with such ease that he makes it sound so simple...but
don't try this at home, folks...you're liable to hurt something. Bobby's sound is
well complimented with a great band which includes a fiddle, banjo, dobro, and mandolin
all played by accomplished musicians. Keeping music in the family works well beyond his
father's influence. Bobby's wife, Kathleen, plays bass guitar and sings backup vocals in
the band.
All in all, this is a very enjoyable album and one to
have in your collection for fine traditional country music.
