We have beautiful
countryside around us. Fine mountains and good skiing in the winter. Our town lies at the
foot of a ring of mountains, with a river running through the centre. We have very little
industry as such. Farming and lumber are the two most important sources for employment. We
have two other employers in the private market, namely DEFA and PROTAN. DEFA produces
various versions of security systems mainly for cars. Proton is in the forefront of
technology. They make the huge plastic bags and pipes that are used to transport Oil and
Water, being towed by tugs.
