"Classics",
filled with 22 tracks; 19 of John's greatest hits and 3 new tracks is one country triumph
after another which will take veteran country music fans down an amazing lane of sweet
memories. As for the newer generation of country fans, you're about to be introduced to
one of the legends with some of the finest music you could hope to find.
Among the 22 tracks on this
album are John's greatest hits over the years. Songs such as his signature "Rose
Colored Glasses", "Lady Lay Down", "Backside of Thirty, "I'm Only
In it For the Love", "Common Man", "Friday Night Blues", "I
Don't Remember Loving You", "Busted" and many more of John's greatest
hits, digitally remastered. To sweeten the pot there are three new songs Including, How
High Did You Go", already released to radio. John has a talent for choosing songs
that emotionally reach out to everyone in one way or another.
I always find it
interesting to see the names of those involved in music productions and was pleasantly
surprised to see a few names that even you new country fans should recognize, like Deborah
Allen and Kix Brooks ( of Brooks and Dunn) who cowrote with Rafe Van Hoy to create,
"I'm Only In It For The Love". OK.. being fair, there may be many of you who
don't know of Deborah Allen, but you should... check out my CD collection and you'll find
her there.
The bottom line is, you don't need rose
colored glasses to see the pot of golden hits in John Conlee's "Classics"
but you need "Classics" to have John's "Rose Colored Glasses" along
with all the other shining hits and let us not forget... three NEW songs! Among these
songs John dedicated one a very special one to his wife... "She's Mine".
"Classics" is indeed just that; a
classic and a must have for any country music collection!
